Something unorthodox' supposed to happen this day, let alone the date. Aside from the fictitious numerology, a pivotal declaration that would go down in the annals of history occured.
Early in the morning, Noynoy jerked in a formal tone with mustered courage and utmost confidence his candidacy for president. Sure his mother's death isn't part of the plan and the perennial call for democratic revival is still at large but nevertheless he ignored the misconstrued reason for running because of the public's expectations or living up to his parents legacy. Valiantly he stood in the pulpit and mouthed the words "I will run for president"(not exact words). A great applause followed, their cups have been filled.
Many prospects for the coveted presidential throne have withrawn. A reason still bleak but definitely a catalyst in the process.
I saw and felt he is downright sincere in his desicion and committed to this responsibilty. He is an heir to a lineage of wise leaders so let's bet there's a high probability he'll steer, if blessed enough to win, this third-world land of cultural dichotomy.
Still you can't digress from the issue that his candidacy is based from a sole rationale but highly influenced by so much pressure from the people around him. I'm a Chiz fanatic but the tables might turn, well slowly it is. Something favorable is instilled in the young Aquino's persona. There are intrinsic traits of a good leader in this man. I personally like the attitude so I hope he wouldn't betray the trust of the pleading souls.
This isn't about my opinion or how good publicists will buff Noynoy's run. After all, the servants are the major kingmakers. A proletariat is always the person behind a superior's ascent.

I believe that the Aquinos have left a timeless legacy to the Filipino people, but i believe that Benigno Aquino Jr. or Fondly called as Noynoy by everyone has still lots of things to learn. Chiz is alright but I think it is better for him to stay in the Congress. Mas bagay sya sa Senado, dun sya makipag debate at makipag dal-dalan. It is not in the personality of Chiz to become a president, presidency is more to actions than words. Nako Aaron, lets just wait for 2010 and lets see kung sino naman ang gagawan ng effegy (tama ba spelling ko) ng mga tao. The most difficult thing about democracy is that we cannot see the contentment of people, for a time they would like a leader kung sawa na sila itatapos na nila ito. I like your blog, sensible. I can use your blog for insights in my course's model united nations event :D... keep on writing :D
Go Noynoy. Sabi ng nanay ko, maskailangan daw ngayon ng MORAL leader na mag-uunite ng country blabla. at tamang-tama lang si Noynoy dun. Si Chiz din daw kasi, yung mga tao sa likod niya (forgot their names) masama, may kinalaman pa nga yata sa pagpapapatay kay Ninoy.
Kung makakaboto lang ako, si Noynoy na rin. Hiya nalang nya siguro pag nangurakot o nagloko pa siya.

nung una ko narinig yung news na naggive up si mar nagduda ako. i guess skepticism talaga ang weapon ng mga pilipino. hahaha. ewan, noynoy is a star. may a bit messiahnic (kung tama man yan. haha) element siya. parang obama. parang moralistic kasi siya. idk if he'll be a good president, economy-wise, kung magaling siya at "matigas" kasi kelangan nga din ng malalaking reforms aside from being a model-politician. chiz, sabi kasi mga galing UP corrupt presidents eh. pero stereotype lang yun. pero i believe may possibility din. na maging ganon siya.... haha di ko pa alam kung sino boboto ko.
if we could just put Chiz' cunningness to Noynoy haha. feeling ko din kung sa pag handle ng economy di ko makita yung strength na yun kay noynoy. at least alam natin na may integrity si Noynoy, mahiya naman sya sa parents nya pag nagkalaat pa sya..
ewan ko. sang-ayon din kasi ako sa sinabi ng nanay ko na ang kailangan nga ng bansa ay isang moral leader na mag-uunite ng iba't-ibang parties, ng bansa. Si Gloria, magaling nga kung magaling sa econ siguro (may phd sa washington?), e ayan, may sapi ng demonyo. Go Noynoy ako kung makakaboto lang.
